Kahuna Creations SUP Skate Exhibition

Friday afternoon come and enjoy the H2O Overdrive Summer Series' kickoff with the Kahuna Creations Exhibition and Slalom/Obstacle Course Challenge! Kahuna Creations has invented a unique product to compliment longboarding and make for an amazing SUP-like experience. Much like a stand up paddleboard is used in the ocean, the Kahuna Big Stick™ is designed to enhance the longboard experience into an ocean-like experience on pavement. The Kahuna Big Stick will give you full SUP control, braking capabilities, an upper-body workout, and the sweetest ride on land. Try out their boards then take the challenge! Preregistration and sign up for the remainder of the weekend's events will be available throughout the day. Friday night the grassy area at Newpark will fill with the spirited rock-n-roll sounds of the American Hitmen, known throughout the west coast for their lively concerts and original music, as H2O Overdrive™ jumpstarts the weekend with their energizing welcome party.
The Newpark Resort and Hotel has partnered with H2O Overdrive™ and will serve as home base for the event. Many athletes and sponsors have chosen to stay at the Newpark Resort and Hotel in the past years and were pleased with its convenient location, close to many restaurants and shops. As home base, the Newpark Resort and Hotel will allow for easy interaction among the athletes and sponsors between events. Deep discounts will be offered by the Newpark Resort and Hotel for participants, sponsors and vendors.

GHOST TOWN PADDLE & SUP CUP ELITE RACE

Saturday will kick off with the H2O Overdrive SUP Cup™, held at the picturesque Jordanelle Reservoir and State Park. Truckloads of sand were brought in to expand the beach and expo area to accommodate over forty spacious vendor locations. H2O Overdrive™ designs the expo layout to ensure that spectators and athletes have the opportunity to visit each sponsor.
The H2O Overdrive SUP Cup™ includes an open-age race, attracting competitors from surrounding states as it grows in popularity. A rousing elite race will follow, featuring top competitors from the East Coast, West Coast, Hawaii, and countries worldwide. Exciting new twists keep competitors coming back for more each year. This year we are adding an all-new event for 16 and under which will be followed by the popular "Luck of the Draw Relay."
Saturday Night Dinner and THE PARTY
Wrapping up the awards ceremony on the beach, the festivities will then head back to the Newpark Resort, where H2O Overdrive™ will host an exclusive party catered by Maxwell's Restaurant.
This year H2O Overdrive™ will thrill and amaze party goers with decadent ice sculptures, ice luge martinis, giveaways, prizes, dinner, drinks, heart pounding music from DJ Jimmy Chunga, and to top it off, the first ever SUP fashion show complete with the same lights, cameras and action you would expect from a New York cat walk.

SUP CROSS RIVER CHALLENGE
SUP Cross, 8-Ball Kayak
No time to rest as the event moves to the Weber River Sunday morning for a full day of whitewater excitement. Because of last year's success, we have decided to expand the whitewater events. Along with the incredibly popular H2O Overdrive SUP Cross™ race, we have added an exciting 8-ball kayak event, which offers plenty of thrills and spills.
In conjunction with the lead sponsor for the River Challenge, C4 Waterman, the H2O Overdrive Summer Series™ will follow tradition and add a new and exciting river event that has never been done before, the Supsquatch Team River Challenge. This event will have all of the fun and excitement you could ever expect for both competitors and spectators with action, full contact, and plenty of excitement. Elevating the event, this year we will be serving food and providing "Royal Restrooms" for competitors and spectators as well as a luxurious VIP area for the athletes.
